Week 35: Change
July 25, 2026
I'll tell you what: a webinar is a great way to feel like you've got a better understanding of a situation that is impossible to comprehend beforehand. The situation being pregnancy.
We did a morning hospital FAQ webinar, then an evening breastfeeding webinar. The two webinars were live, which makes it feel less clinical than a pre-recorded webinar and less overwhelming than an in-person session. There's value in both, but it's nice to do things from the comfort of home, especially this far into the pregnancy where I'm all about energy conservation.
Right now, my pregnancy exists week by week with Change being the throughline. The Change is usually at the wee level, but a shift nonetheless. Change ranges from oh, I don't need to wear my compression socks anymore to oh, I've developed pregnancy carpal tunnel (that was last week's discovery and now I'm in a wrist brace and two of my fingers are numb).
It's a weird feeling, oncoming doom, to know that 15 things are likely going to happen within the next few weeks and I won't know until it happens.
